Contains the following types of materials: photographs, photo albums. Covers the following time period: 1861-1891. Contains photographs of the following military unit: Ordnance Corps, U.S. Army. General description of the collection: The Francis H. Parker photograph collection consists of three photo albums in the collection: 1. An album of members of the West Point, Class of 1861. 2. An album of Watertown Arsenal, Massachusetts, 1883-1884. 3. An album of Watervliet Arsenal, New York, 1889-1891. Also included are two photos of Fort Abraham Lincoln in 1886. The notations in the 1861 album are interesting, some say "rebel" while others, "killed at Gettysburg", "killed at Chancellorsville", "killed in battle with Indians", etc. The Watervliet Arsenal photos show cannon manufacturing and machinery, as well as, the finished product. The Watertown Arsenal photos are mostly exterior views of the buildings on post.

Francis H. Parker was a United States (U.S.) Army officer who graduated from the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point in 1861. His service was almost wholly with the Ordnance Corp.
